INTRODUCTION

The IPKC understand that motorsport, in its very nature, is highly competitive and emotional. However, we are firm believers that this should only be the case out on circuit! In an effort to keep our race meeting atmosphere as pleasant as possible, we have taken the liberty of writing up our Respect In Motorsport policy specifically for IPKC and will be the only policy we adopt.

By entering any and all IPKC events you agree to abide by the following policy and understand that failure to maintain this policy can result in penalties for you or your driver.

1.0

Every paddock member including, but not restricted to:

A. IPKC competitor (driver)
B. Mechanic / Parent / Guardian
C. Spectator(s)
D. IPKC officials
E. Circuit Owners/Officials (Marshals)
F. Photographers
G. IPKC Partners / Sponsors

Shall be treated with respect from each other. No forms of intimidation, bullying, abusive language/behaviour, racism, sexism or accusations will be tolerated at all and will be dealt with swiftly with harsh penalties

2.0

IPKC officials should be obeyed at all times. Our officials are there to help run a smooth meeting but mainly to keep you all safe. Officials will not ask you to do something for no reason, there is always reasoning behind their requests. Please show the officials the required respect needed.

3.0

If you suspect a competitor of “cheating”, please do not approach them. Instead, calmly inform an IPKC official so that the correct avenue can be taken. Approaching the suspected competitor and/or making comments in ear shot can be classified as accusations/bullying. We will not tolerate this!

4.0

As a community championship, we encourage paddock members to make each other feel welcomed. If you see someone struggling, offer them a helping hand. Pease do not turn away a competitor who asks for help. We are a community after all and you only strengthen relationships by being approachable and friendly

5.0

Please do not take it upon yourself to “Hop” onto circuit to lend a hand. Yes, there may be a severe accident on circuit, and your main instinct is to help. While we applaud you for this, please appreciate that our officials are experienced and will deal with issue the best way we can at the time. Having 10 paddock members all congregating around does not help the situation. You “may” be called upon for assistance from the Clerk Of Course, but please remain paddock side unless called upon.

6.0

Social media is very powerful and the IPKC organisers are watching. Any form of bullying towards another competitor will be classed as misconduct. If we observe such actions online, we will treat it as misconduct and will be dealt with accordingly. Remember, you are only hurting yourself or your driver so think before you act.
